Hi!
My name is Aaron. I am the founder and soap maker here at Lean.
In February 2023, I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a reel about Dr. Squach making their “natural” soap. I thought it looked interesting, so I decided to do a little research. I quickly fell in love (or went crazy, depending on who you ask) with the soap-making process called saponification. Seriously, I got way too much into soap making. I quickly decided to develop a truly exceptional bar of soap. (For me and my family)
l wanted a perfect balance of great lather, great cleansing, and great conditioning. It took 9 months of trial and error to discover the right recipe. I started making soap, a lot of soap. I realized I only have so many family members and friends that I can give soap to so I thought it would be a good idea to start selling it.
I created a brand called Titan, made a website, and started selling soap. About a year later, I started experimenting with different recipes and discovered using beef tallow as an oil base. I was completely amazed at how big of a difference tallow made in the quality of soap. It made such a massive difference. I decided to completely change my recipe and rebrand my business.
